A unique duo - the outstanding domra player Ekaterina Mochalova and the virtuoso accordionist Joseph Puritz, accompanied by the chamber orchestra "Russian Camerata" under Andrey Kruzhkov, will present their original reading of masterpieces by Vivaldi and Piazzolla and Efrem Podgaits.
Ekaterina Mochalova is the first prize winner of the All-Russian Music Competition (Moscow, 2013), II International Necheporenko Competition (Moscow, 2016), international mandolin competitions in Tokyo (2012) and Osaka (2013). Since 2012 she has been a soloist of the Osipov National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Russia, and since 2019 she has been a concert mistress. The first performer of works for domra and mandolin by many contemporary composers.
Iosif Puritz is a winner of more than thirty international competitions, including the Peace Trophy in Spokane (USA, 2012) and the Klingenthal Accordion and Bayan Competition (Germany, 2013). He has performed at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall and the Tchaikovsky Hall. He has performed at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Carnegie Hall (New York), Wigmore Hall (London), the Konzerthaus (Vienna) and other leading concert halls throughout the world. The program includes "The Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi, Ephraim Podhajets, and Astor Piazzolla.
